Welcome to Le Sallay Discovery
We are an innovative blended learning school for children aged 10-14. During our school year, we alternate between live online classes and 3-week in-person sessions. Le Sallay has an academically challenging curriculum and personalized learning paths, helping all of our students stay motivated and achieve their full potential.

Essential Facts

  • Pioneering Approach
We alternate 3-week boarding sessions in Massachusetts and France with live, interactive online studies. Our approach blends the flexibility of remote learning and the emotional connection and engagement of in-person instruction.
  • International Identity
We are proud of our international identity. Our curriculum focuses on world history, culture, and science. We invite renowned visiting scholars to share their knowledge and vision. Once a year we have an in-person session in France to expose our students to a different culture.
  • Rigorous Curriculum
Our curriculum goes beyond the standardized approach. Interrelated disciplines are combined to give students a deeper knowledge of complex subjects. This prepares students to make a transition into working in demanding academic environments while encouraging life-long learning.
  • Highly Qualified Teachers
At Le Sallay schools, 100% of instructors hold advanced degrees in their fields. In small classes, teachers work closely with students to help them reach their full academic potential.
  • Gifted and High-Ability Learners
Students are placed according to their individual learning needs, not grade. We offer advanced classes to those who have a higher level of knowledge. A balanced curriculum ensures that students develop interest in different subjects rather than focusing exclusively on those that come easier to them.
  • Inclusive Environment
With small classes and personalized attention, we can provide neurodivergent and twice-exceptional students with the support they need in order to achieve their learning goals. Remote classes help them sustain attention, while in-person sessions help them build connections without feeling overwhelmed.

Our News

Students who are not being served well in a traditional school environment
Our academically rigorous program is tailored to your child’s needs to help them discover – or rediscover– their love of learning.

Middle-schoolers transitioning from homeschooling or full remote learning
Blended learning allows for a smooth transition to a selective high school of the student's choice.

Students with diverse learning needs
Gifted students, as well as twice-exceptional and neuro-divergent children, are often insufficiently supported within a traditional school setting. Our approach includes differentiated study plans and the support of certified educators and psychologists.

Relocating families
Wherever your family is, your child can continue their studies with us. We work with families to ensure that students are fully prepared to transition to the high school of their choice.

What kind of student thrives at Le Sallay?

Le Sallay’s academically rigorous program has proven particularly good for high-achieving students who need additional challenges. It also attracts children who have grown disengaged in their schools or feel like they don’t fit in, by helping them rediscover the love of learning and encouraging socialization and meaningful relationships. Providing differentiated study plans and psychological support, the Academy is a great choice for students with diverse learning needs, as well as those whose families are frequently on the move.

Our innovative approach combines synchronous distance learning with an in-person residential experience. Our school year is divided into quarters, with each quarter offering a distance learning and in-person component. In a typical quarter, your child will study from home for eight weeks in a row, then travel to our campus for three weeks of classroom learning and social opportunities. Distance learning includes 5-6 highly interactive classes a day. Each class has 3-6 students and every student has a personalized learning plan.

In-person sessions bring all the students and staff together at a well-equipped campus. The on-site sessions combine classes with games and activities aimed at helping students develop their social skills and sense of belonging to the Le Sallay community. Our mentors and psychologists work with students throughout the year to encourage students’ social and emotional development.
