New Science Teacher Jo Wurst

News

We are happy to welcome to our team Jo Wurst who will teach Science. Jo graduated with honors from the University of Wyoming with a B.A. in Anthropology and Environment and Natural Resources. After teaching science-based education programs for non-profits and National Parks for 8 years, she completed her Masters of Science in Science Education with Montana State University, Bozeman in 2021. The main focus area of her studies was the life sciences. Her capstone researched recreational impacts on vegetation in the ponderosa pine forests surrounding Prescott, Arizona.


During the past two years, Jo taught in a middle school science classroom at a small charter school in Arizona. Jo now lives in Colorado with her partner, Joseph, and their dog, Joplin. In her free time, she enjoys skiing, trail running, backpacking, and drawing with pen and ink.
